EGI MFF file format is folder based. Inside the MFF folder you will find few files and when you open it in BESA no matter witch one you select, BESA will automatically sort and resolve the content of the folder.
However if you want to export MFF file to any other format you should either export the file to location outside the MFF directory or move the outcome from MFF directory afterwards. If you open the exported file (i.e. with extension .foc) it will be still treated as part of MFF directory and original data will be opened instead of exported one.
