Install File Format Readers

Please close BESA Research before installing new file format readers.
To activate a file format reader, you need to go to the Utilities\Additional Readers\ subfolder of your BESA Research installation directory.
Note that the default path to the BESA Research installation directory depends on the version of BESA Research and your operating system. For BESA Research 7.1 running on a 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 7, the default paths are:

  • English: C:\Program Files (x86)\BESA\Research_7_1\
  • German: C:\Programme (x86)\BESA\Research_7_1\

The Utilities\Additional Readers\ subfolder contains folders for all file format readers that can be activated for BESA Research (e.g. EBNeuro, MEF, XLTek, etc.). Open the folder of the reader you want to install and run the InstallReader.exe application.
After successfully installing the file format reader, you can start BESA Research and open your data files.
